So the packaging claims it's for ages 7 and above, but with a few tweaks to the original game, Uno is a great way to educate toddlers as young as 2 to distinguish colours and numbers.

With these simple adjustments, you may follow all of the original Uno card game rules.
(If you've never played Uno before, the rules may be found at https://unogamerules.com/how-to-play-uno/)

1. Take out all of the special cards (skip, reversal, +2, +4) except the colour change card.

2. Hand out only three cards to each youngster. This speeds up the games, which is ideal for young children with short attention spans.

3. Have the kids place their cards face up in front of them so they can quickly find the number or colour that matches. Ask them to identify the numbers they were dealt before you start the game. If they get trapped, assist them (especially on the sixes and nines.)

4. Begin each turn with a phrase like "You'll need a blue or a five." "Do you have a blue or a five?" says the narrator. Then have them search through their cards to identify the one that matches.

That concludes our discussion. To develop a preschool-friendly version of the game, just make a few minor changes. Have fun playing Uno!
