Medical Doctor and Womens Health Development Specialist in Nigeria
Dr Unyime Hamilton is a licensed medical doctor and public health professional with over a decade of experience in the clinical and community-based management of both infectious and non-infectious diseases.
With a core focus on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, cervical cancer prevention, maternal and mental health, she brings a well-rounded approach to health systems strengthening and gender-responsive healthcare delivery.
Dr Unyime serves at Health Initiatives for Safety and Stability in Africa (HIFASS), a Non-Governmental Organization where she oversees comprehensive HIV treatment and psychosocial support services, especially for women.
She also leads targeted health education initiatives addressing non-communicable diseases and mental health, operating at the critical intersection of clinical service and strategic project management. Her diverse experience spans multiple healthcare settings in both private, government and non-governmental health based organizations.
Dr Unyime is also a passionate Women Development Specialist and the Founder of Women Lighthouse, a thriving community that empowers women across Africa to live balanced, fulfilling, and purpose-driven lives. Through her weekly podcast episodes, monthly blogs and webinars, she equips women with practical tools to thrive both personally and professionally.
Her leadership at Women Lighthouse reflects her deep commitment to social impact and her personal CSR mission of advancing women’s well-being holistically across the continent.
Outside her professional work, Unyime is married to her best friend, Gabriel Hamilton, and is a dedicated homeschooling mother to their two children, Noah and Hadassah.
