Upgrowth

Devoted to preserving the environment, hotel construction company Upgrowth implements responsible building practices in designing and constructing green facilities certified by environmental building associations. The firm also practices conservation in its own offices. Upgrowth assists its hotel clients in meeting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards in addition to other “green” building methods. Upgrowth works with customers to best build efficient buildings that lessen future expenses by saving energy and water. Along with these environmentally conscious efforts, Upgrowth practices sustainability in its own operations. The company recycles or reuses an average of 75 percent of debris in all its projects, and 40 percent of its office supplies include recycled matter. Additionally, Upgrowth recycles plastic, aluminum, glass, paper, and electronics, such as old computers and cell phones. Upgrowth recommends its janitorial subcontractors use environmentally friendly and biodegradable cleaners and methods, and encourages its associates to employ their own sustainable operations. Besides environmental efforts, the firm follows comprehensive safety standards. Upgrowth has formed an all-encompassing safety plan, and works conscientiously to ensure secure work sites at all times. A full-time safety manager oversees Upgrowth’s goal of avoiding entirely injuries and accidents, giving its employees in-depth information on how to avoid getting hurt. The company expects its partners to follow safety standards, as well. With nearly three dozen years of experience in the construction industry, Upgrowth has built more than 250 hotels throughout the country for clients such as Accor Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Marriott Hotels, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Choice Hotels & Suites, and InterContinental Hotels Group; the company has also developed several downtown Chicago structures.
