Umesh Phadke

Public Speaker, Chef, and Photographer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Since you insist that I have to tell you a bit about myself here is a short Bio. Having lived in 6 countries & 13 cities since birth, I consider myself a citizen of the world. I do hold an Indian Passport & am hugely proud of many things Indian, prominent among them are diversity, democracy, Bollywood & samosas. Yes, samosas are a weak point & if you ever want to be my friend, get me great samosas. I’ve never lived in a city I did not love so I have no favorites. However, I do like the cleanliness of Singapore, the beauty of Paris, the food of Bangkok, the people of Jakarta, the kebabs of Lucknow, the beach of Chennai, the mysore paak of Coimbatore & the ease of living in Kuala Lumpur. I enjoy intrepid travel, street photography & travel photography. I also love food, both cooking it and eating it. At last count I have 236 cookbooks…and a few more are on the way and in my cart. I want to write & have tried my had at a few articles but never got beyond that. I do believe that practice makes perfect but I also don't practice what I preach. If you Google me, you'll find a lot of videos of me giving gyaan (aka wisdom). Don't take it seriously. And when there’s nothing else to talk about, there are samosas. Aah Samosas...I love them.
