Born at Jammu in 1938, completed his matriculation in 1955 from SRMP High School Jammu and graduation from SPM Rajput Collegeof Commerce,standing first in B.Com in the J&K University , in 1959.
Moved to Bombay and did Charted Accoutancy , clearing final exam even before the Articleship over , in July 1963.
Mr. Uppal is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has worked at BPL Group for over 38 years. In his career at BPL Group he has held various positions ranging from Group Finance Director of the main flagship company to Managing Director of BPL Sanyo Technology Ltd. During this time he has handled several IPO’s of group companies. He has extensive experience in all aspects of finance and accounts, manufacturing, taxation and legal compliance. Mr. Uppal is also a qualified attorney and Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant.
Sall be celebrating his 50th years of membership of the Institute of Charted Accountant of India during August 2013.
