Upinder Randhawa
Upinder Randhawa is a well regarded individual within the Asian media community. Having commenced his media career in 2004 as a Radio Presenter for ‘Drive Time’ shows, it was soon recognised that he was able to deliver more and adapt his approach to various other types of radio programme. This lead to his implementation of the ‘Late Night Love’ show, which became so popular amongst listeners, as to be carried through to other stations as Upinder progressed his career onwards. He also went on to coach other presenters entering the radio domain. Upinder has since then had the honour of interviewing many distinguished singers, song-writers, producers, sports people, actors as well as charitable figures such as Asha Bhosle, Sanjay Dutt, Manmohan Waris, Kamal Heer, Sangtar Heer, Baljit Singh Deo, Satinder Sartaj, Big Joe Egan, Kevin Brown, K. S. Makhan, Amrinder Gill, Hans Raj Hans, Abida Parveen, Ustad Tari Khan, Daljit Neer, Harbhajan Mann, Sukhshinder Shinda, Aman Hayer and the list is endless. He has also anchored stage shows for the Waris brothers in Punjabi Virsa 2010 and Harbhajan Mann. He has progressed to presenting his own show on ‘Sangat TV’ called ‘People’s People,’ where he carries out different interviews on influential figures within the charitable, sports, and various other sectors. Upinder’s well-rounded intellect and candid views derive from his exposure to many different lifestyles and cultures, having studied and lived in Australia, as well as travelling to New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, India, other Southern-Pacific Countries and Europe. He has also managed & worked with Bollywood playback singers & Actors such as Jasbir Jassi, Mika Singh etc. Upinder’s main aspiration is to educate youngsters within the Asian Community about culture, music and language, as well as to ensure that they are motivated to achieve their full potential. Upinder is also a keen poet, with a great interest in Sufism and literature. All of his career and charitable interests derive from his Religious Figure: H.H. Baba Kashmira Singh Ji, whom promotes: ‘Service to Mankind is worship of God’.
