Urban American Management

In operation for over 15 years, Urban American Management owns and oversees residential properties across the New York metropolitan area, including New York City, New Jersey, and Westchester. With over 170 multifamily residences and 13,000 individual workforce apartments under its purview, it maintains a position as one of the industry leaders in the region. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Philip Eisenberg, Urban American focuses on long-term development of its properties and their communities, emphasizing the benefits to landowner and resident found in improving residences.

Urban American Management has devoted much of its development efforts to the area of energy efficiency and sustainability. These projects have totaled over $10 million in improvements over the company's existence and cover a wide range of initiatives, including the installation of low-flow water fixtures, movement from incandescent lighting to light-emitting diodes and compact fluorescent lighting, use of motion sensors to control lighting, and various weatherizing projects such as the application of UV-reflective paint on roofs.

In addition to its energy-smart initiatives, Urban American has created and worked with a number of charitable efforts in recent years. Its Veterans Housing Initiative provides returning soldiers with assistance in finding and renting residences, including discounted rent and waived fees. The company also works with groups such as the New York City Energy Efficiency Council and maintains memberships with the Community Housing Improvement Program and the Cornell University Program in Real Estate. Urban American has also supported Roosevelt Island Day, Cornell University, and the Children's Storefront School in Harlem over the years.
