Engel born Smangele Myaka from Ntuzuma, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa was introduced into deejaying 6years ago. And during the course of the year earned 3 resident dj spots in and around her township.

Urban Engel later upgraded to well established clubs such as Plush Ultra Lounge now known as Taboo (Durban),Cappelo PMB and Cubana PMB

Urban Engel has played at various weddings and private or corporate events for Dial A Dj Entertainment, including corporate events at SUN COAST CASINO, where a Dial A Dj Entertainment is the Dj of choice service provider,plus done events for Charity organization, The Robbin hood Foundation, that host parties for under privilege in the township. When she performed at Inchanga, Ethembeni School for the Disable, she became an instance celebrity with the pupils.

Urban Engel is also an ambassador for T_A_C ( TogetherAgainstCancer)

She has represented Dial a dj Entertainment brand with style of professionalism at Club venues all over KZN.

Urban Engel has been featured in some respected annual events such as GREYTOWN NEW YEARS EVE EVENT, The 4th & 5th DURBAN SUMMER FESTIVAL,GAGASI FM CONVOY amd REDBULL Amaphiko Event. Just to name a few.

Urban Engel has been the first female dj to allocate a slot onGagasi FM doing hip hop mixes for The SundaySundowners show and also dropping deep House mixes on The Gagasi FM Friday show. She has been featured on The Urban Beat Metro FM doing the last hour mix just after The Legendary Vinny Da Vinci. And had her mix featured on Frances (Detroit) online radio recently featured on Ibiza Live Radio from Spain.

Urban Engel is now a resident dj at Artizen Lounge KwaMashu And for Eyadini Lounge Monday Therapy

Urban Engel is also known for her music contribution to The GodFathers of Deep House SA as she was the 1st lady amongst 19 respected undergroud producers. Working as a Deejay/ composer/ song writer/ voice over artist and production.

She has a new single on traxsource and currently working on her EP among other single tracks she is due to release soon.
