Urszula is an experienced psychologist, counsellor and life coach, offering short-term focused counselling and coaching. She is registered with British Psychological Society and works with individuals (adults, children and young people), couples and families. Urszula is under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. She is trained in the latest techniques, positive psychology, transactional analysis, as well as continually working on her own personal and coaching development.
She earned a dual Master’s Degree in areas of Special Pedagogy and Psychology from the Universities located in Warsaw, Poland. The Master Degree of Special Pedagogy (specialization: Social Rehabilitation and Family Support Education) is designed to train graduates in the area of working with people present antisocial behaviour involving aggressive actions, such as verbal abuse, bullying and hitting, drug and alcohol abuse and high-risk activities involving self and others. Her studies prepared her to seek to effect changes in a person's environment and in a person's ability to deal with the environment, so as to facilitate improvement in symptoms or personal distress and life outcomes. During her studies, she has learnt core principles of effective psychiatric rehabilitation which are: providing hope when the client lacks it, respect for the client wherever they are in the recovery process, empowering the client, teaching the client wellness planning, and emphasizing the importance for the client to develop social support networks.
From 2016, she been working as a Project Officer at Children and Family Advise Centre and Life Coaching Project of Polish Psychologist Association. She is working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside social workers, education professionals, speech therapists, mental health workers, psychotherapists and career planners. Urszula is providing the psychological help (advice, counselling and educational activities offered to adults, families and children). She undertakes the psychological assessment of clients applying psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the clients’ care.
