Erika writes the popular blog, UrthMama, a site about finding joy in everyday moments and gratitude in parenting.

Erika started UrthMama eight years ago to document the joyful moments of motherhood. It has grown into an inspiring space to share the simple joys of parenting young children and as a great source of encouragement to her readers.

Erika is the mother of three young children, ages 7, 4, and 1, who inspire her every day. Her passions include parenting, outdoor activities, homeschooling, and crafting. She believes in growing strong families and creating magical childhood moments through play.

Erika graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University, where she studied Comparative Literature. She also holds an MFA in Film Producing from the University of Southern California. Before becoming a mother, Erika worked in Hollywood on television shows such as ABC's The Bachelor before returning to graduate school for a JD in Law from UC-Berkeley, where she graduated with honors. She now happily stays home with her children and loves every minute of it!
