Hello, I am Dr. Usama Niazi, a Process Safety Consultant and with skills in advance Process Safety Management.

I have worked with one of the top oil and gas company, PETRONAS and was awarded PhD in Process Safety at PETRONAS University.

Desired skills and strength required for every industry position are critical thinking, complex problem solving, and correct decision-making. You have to be able to identify problems, find the right problem and then find the most appropriate solution efficiently.

I have acquired these skills while working as a Doctoral Student and later as a Researcher at PETRONAS. During my stay at PETRONAS, I not only completed major safety projects but also proposed better QRA frameworks (employing CFD tools) for completing studies in less time, by utilization of grid-based approach for enhanced risk screening and automation of probabilistic techniques using MATLAB for rapid results.

My expertise as a Process Safety Consultant are as follows:

1. CFD Modeling of Fire and Explosion using FLACS, FDS and PHAST.

2. Probabilistic Modeling employing Event Tree, Fault Tree, Bow Tie and Bayesian Network. 3. Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment studies (HAZOP, SIL, LOPA).

4. Fire and Gas Mapping Studies.

5. Human Evacuation Modeling in high rise buildings using CFD software Fire Dynamic Simulator.

6. Technical Report/Research Article/Publication Writing and Presentation skills.
