Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson has more than twenty years of experience in new business development for consumer electronic manufacturers. He has consulted for dozens of manufacturers on product development, training and sales projects. Prior to starting Omega Blue Group, Eric was the VP of Technology for Universal Remote Control (URC) from 2006-2011. From 1999 to 2006, Eric consulted with URC on the development and launch of all CEDIA channel products. From 1992 to 1998, Eric was the Product Development and Training Manager for Niles Audio.
Eric is a popular volunteer speaker for the Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association (CEDIA); he has not only been named a top ten instructor (based on the combination of popularity and grading from attendees), but in 2009 was named one of the top ten instructors of all time.
In a February 2013 CEPRO magazine poll, Eric was named number 16 of the most influential people of the past twenty years for his “evangelism of the user experience”
