The aim of this project is to build new housing solutions and alternative construction materials for low energy living spaces. Upcycled Materials are, generally speaking, materials left for waste reused as-they-are prior to recycling techniques. The main idea is to research and develop new building processes to build houses out of upcycled materials. Find ways of optimising local potential (people, production and waste) to achieve affordable construction of cutting-edge design in sustainable architecture.Hopefully before 2014 when Umeå will be the Cultural Capital.
