Hi everyone! I am a 27 year old very excited candidate for UT McCombs. I am the eldest of 5 siblings in a traditional Mexican family, and I am getting married in April 2016. Here´s a bit of information for you to know me better and assess if I am a good fit for UT... I know for sure that UT is THE right MBA for me.

I work at Credit Suisse Investment Banking since 2013, and while it has been an extraordinary learning experience, I would like to use this space to talk about a venture that I started one year ago with a colleague from CS. We launched GR Capital, a real estate development fund, and as of today we have already funded two projects and we are finalizing the terms for a 3rd piece of land acquisition! We work through a capital calls and IRR driven performance fee structure, and expect to finalize this year with a combined equity pull of US$16 million, allocated to the three projects.

Regarding my hobbies, well, I love sports in general, but I am passionate about sailing. I have sailed since I was 9 years old, and I have had the opportunity to participate in several sailboat classes in an international level, such as World, European and National Championships, among others. I currently lead a group of 15 friends and together we form part of a 20 sailboats fleet that race together about once a month in a lake not far from Mexico City. Along with my father and other friends we have crossed the Pacific Ocean, from Los Angeles to Hawaii, twice! 11 entire days in a 10-man crew, it was and unforgettable journey. I also like to play tennis and golf with my fiancé and enrolling in new adventures with her and our friends, so as you can imagine, living in Austin is simply perfect for us!
