Matt Johnson

I am the Youth Pastor at Glasford Baptist Church. I grew up in this area and attended Glasford Baptist most of my life. I have been serving here for several years now. When I was a teenager, I had a positive experience growing up in the youth group. I loved what the youth ministry did for me and I wanted to carry it on. After high school, I attended Lincoln Christian University and attained a B.A. in Youth Ministry. I love the town I work in and really want to see teenagers grow up into mature disciples of Christ. My wife, Dara, also serves in the youth ministry with me. On a more personal note, people know me as a geek. I love technology and computers. I am a huge fan of J.R.R. Tolkein's works. I love Star Wars as well. And for some reason, I adore turtles. There is just something about those creatures that I love. (I have a pet red-eared slider) Anyway, I am here to serve. And I pray that God blesses this community and that the teenagers that I minister to would grow into wonderful followers of Jesus.
