Welcome to the about us section.

Here are the goals and suggested guidelines for NGP student contributions to the NGP Blog:

Topics:

* a review of your field (with citations)

* a review or summary of exciting primary literature (with citations)

* a summary of personal scientific success or experience (such as a paper acceptance or conference experience)

Review Process:

* de-identified writing will be sent to 2 reviews who have been invited to review (fellow students)

* reviewers will be sent a link on good review practices and a step-by-step how to

* authors will get de-identified reviews and be allowed to make suggested changes

* student editors will be happy and publish it!

Writing Guidelines:

* 500-1000 words

* uses primary literature as citation material

* please write for the general public, avoid excessive jargon and tech-talk

* approach controversial topics tactfully, please present evidence for all sides and proceed with caution when making generalized statements because what you write here reflects on all of the NGP students
