Ever since I was little, my brother's influence could be seen in many aspects, from the clothes that I wore to the music I listened to, to the way I spoke. My brother’s influence has always been most seen in the way in which I dress. I started to become interested in skating streetwear, like Supreme, Bape, and Palace. As I grew older, I started to develop my own interest and sense of style in the way that I dress, but fashion still does and will always have great prevalence in my life. In fact, the primary motivation for me even get my first job was to be able to afford the high costs of brands that caught my eye. I quickly realized that I could barely afford these brands even while saving up for weeks, so I sought out a way to acquire these items realistically. That is when I found a way to afford these items by getting them closer to the source rather than paying for them at their retail price. I quickly realized the profitability of this and started selling items that wouldn’t have the fit I wanted. I wouldn’t consistently do this but it was my brother who motivated me to upscale the sale of these clothes into a business. I was highly inspired by his desire to see the success of me and the business, and was sold on the idea. I invested half of what was in my checking account to be able to acquire a decent enough count of pieces to start producing a flow of income, and haven’t looked back since. The only change within the business system is now working alongside my brother, which was always something I believed would bring out the best in 404 garments. Although it hasn’t reached the heights that I believe it can, I truly believe that the business has turned into something that I can confidently say that I am proud of. From traveling the country to showcase and sell our clothes at various events, to styling actors and comedians, a passion has evolved into a product of hard work and collaboration with those I love.
