Hello darlings,

Welcome to the brief history of Viva Home Baked, where passion, tradition and homemade goodness come together!

Brief history

I'm delighted to welcome you here and to share a glimpse into my journey, from my earliest years through adulthood, shaped by the sweetest memories of a bakery. It all began at our family run bakery in the heart of Los Angeles, where I spent my early years working alongside the family, learning the craft amid the warmth of the ovens and the quiet lessons passed down to me. Those dawn memories where not only lessons of the craft, yet with a deep sense of community, as our small shop neighbours gathered, stories were shared and our bakery became a small but meaningful part of daily life.

Later in life, I moved away from home to Oman, where I was led to take on a dessert chef role at Illy Cafe. In time, that experience inspired me to open my home bakery, from which I began supplying both cafes and the public, continuing to share my craft beyond traditional bakery walls.

These lifelong experiences became the heart of VHB and taught me the importance of tradition, dedication and the importance of sharing food with others. Here at VHB we reflect on the belief that food connects us to one another, to our stories and the moments worth savouring. Each recipe created has a history rewritten with more attention to detail and the flavours we find so nostalgic. Baking at home for my clients brings back the same simple joy I felt as a child, sharing our desserts with the people I love. Those aromas and moments that once brought us together around the table. These were the fun, golden moments that made ordinary days feel sacred.

As a sole creator, I believe that food has the power to bridge distance, celebrate life's moments and create lasting memories.

VHB is more than a business, it's a reflection of home, connection and the joy of sharing something meaningful. Thank you for inviting me to be part of the moments that matter most.

Best,

Vivian
