I have a bin full of childish trinkets that have been slowly accumulating over the years. Some small, some big, some just a little awkward in size. Many with a multitude of colors, while others had a monochromatic theme.
Whenever I saw any cute stickers at the store, they would end up at the cash register with me. Once it was in my possession, it would be stored in a box, never to be used.
They’re one-time use, once pulled from its sheet and placed onto a final resting place, it can’t be repositioned. I was never happy about how I arranged the stickers. Sometimes it would be a degree off center, slightly crooked, or didn't match the vibe of where it was placed onto. Too much planning and worry went into the process that I ended up never using them.
I always worried a lot, especially when moving away to college. It was difficult for me to let go of my hometown of Kennesaw. I love my friends, family, and the crappy local mall. I lived there all 17 years of my life, I felt as if it was my perfect place on the sticker sheet.
However, being stuck into UGA, even if it is a little crooked, is something that I have gradually learned love. With each new sticker I place down, I learn to love the new experience I have here. I love collecting stickers, but I equally love finding a new spot to place them.
