A highly accomplished Ukrainian businessman and politician, Vadym Novynskyi is also one of the wealthiest individuals worldwide. Forbes magazine reported his net worth at $1.2 billion in June of 2022 and ranked him #2190 on its global list of the world’s most affluent billionaires.

As the owner of the Ukrainian metallurgy corporation Smart Holding Group, Vadym Novynskyi oversees a 24 percent stake in the leading international iron ore producer Metinvest.

As a politician, Mr. Novynskyi has twice earned election to the Ukrainian Parliament, entering the office in 2013 and securing reelection in 2014. Today, he is a People’s Deputy of Ukraine without any specific political party affiliation.

Born in 1963 in the Russian town of Staraya, Vadym Novynskyi has been living in Ukraine since 2007 and has been a Ukrainian citizen since 2013. A devoted member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), he has gained admittance to both the Order of the Holy Sepulchre and the Order of the UOC “The Nativity of Christ.” The UOC’s also honored him with its Chest Cross of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark.

Beyond his good works through the church, Vadym Novynskyi is a major philanthropist whose private foundation spearheads charitable activities in areas that range from the support of healthcare and family initiatives to the restoration of cultural and historical landmarks. He is also a devoted husband and the father of four children.
