Greetings, I’m Vaidyanathan. I’m a doctor living in Mysore . I am an Intensivist by profesion after a speciality qualification in anaesthesiology.

I take care of patients in ICU who are batting for life and on life support. Together with me colleagues we chart out treatment strategies tailor made for each patient to enhance recovery.

So that's why I am called an Intensivist, a specialist managing intensive care units and treating critically ill patients battling for life often with life threatening problems like ARDS, Sepsis. Respiratory failure, Shock, Polytrauma , poisonings , burns, serious life threatening infections and multiorgan failure.

My areas of expertise includes ventilator management, airway management, point of care ultrasounds, bedside tracheostomies, bronchoscopies and ECMO.

I also train critical care fellows , postgraduates and registrars in critical care.

I help them complete their dissertation, thesis and projects and lead the clinical and academic team I my unit .

Our unit is recognised by Indian College of critical care medicine to train postdoctoral fellows in critical care.

Holistic approach to patient care, multi disciplinary approach , evidence based care and continuous quality improvement audits are our key aspects.

Once a while I take up Anaesthesia practice and also make surgeries pain free taking care of the patient with life support during major complicated surgeries and train my postgraduates as I am the academic director of the postgraduate courses for the DNB courses bythe National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
