Dr. Vakhtang Balavadze

Vakhtang Balavadze is a Professor at Ilia State University; At the same time, he is an Entrepreneur and a practicing Engineer;

He is actively engaged in engineering, scientific and entrepreneurial activities, in particular;

Since 2020 - Professor at the Faculty of Business, Technology and Education of Ilia State University and the Head of Quality Assurance Service at the same faculty;

From 2018 to present - San Diego State University-Georgia - Lecturer of Bachelor's Degree Program in Construction Engineering;

2014 - 2020 - He was a professor at the Georgian Technical University and the Program Manager of Construction Management Bachelor Program;

From 2016 to present - He holds the position of Senior Engineer at the Civil Engineering Design and Engineering surveys Company Ltd, "Kavtransproject";

In 2015 - He has founded the Engineering-Consulting company "FORCE” where until 2018 he held the position of Director and Consulting Engineer and currently as a partner, he still actively participate in activities of the company;

Vakhtang Balavadze is a Corresponding Member of Georgian Engineering Academy; Voting Member of the Georgian Association of Consulting; Accreditation Expert of the Higher Education Programs at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of Georgia; Author of numerous scientific publications; Has worked on several major engineering projects; Is a participant and graduate of numerous exchange academic and practical international programs.

He is awarded the Presidential Order of Excellence - Awarded to individuals for outstanding achievements in the spheres of culture, education, science, art, sport, etc., and for the significant achievements in the relevant fields of social life and meritorious service for Georgia.
