Valda Mikalauskaite

I have been interested in art and design for more than ten years already. My interest from being very basic (interest in beauty and painting) has grown into specific areas that analyse our aesthetical perceptions.

The latest work of mine was a literal mix of fine art and digital art where I used fine art images found on web to make my own collages. In the process I have learned the nature of art and its feature to be a never ending thread of creative indexes that are passed on from person to person, community to community and culture to culture. This and my latest researches helped me to consider different ways of designing and illustrating and more importantly change my thinking of what design is.
