His first foray into the arts came in the fourth grade when he discovered his love for performance in the school choir and the concert band. He became involved in the drama club in middle school, devoting most of his free time to practicing the craft, staying after school for hours to learn more about acting. He was fascinated by the idea of portraying someone else. While attending Barbara Goleman Senior High School, Valdes joined Troupe 5748. He helped the Troupe host and plan events and performed in the Florida State Thespian Festival. Valdes is currently enrolled at Miami-Dade College where he majors in Theatre. He joined the Pen Players, where he enjoys the opportunity to be taught by one of the most experienced and impressive professors at Miami-Dade College, Professor Andy Quiroga.
