Dr. Craig Bishop successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. He attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV to graduate with Honors as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. Dr. Bishop spent his internship at The Northside Heart Institute in St. Petersburg, FL. His Residency was at the same institution, where he eventually served as Chief Resident from 1997 till 1998. He successfully obtained certification from the American Board of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998. Dr. Bishop attended Cornell University to study Plant-based Medicine in 2013-2014.
Dr. Craig Bishop is a member of the following organizations: the American Osteopathic Association; the American Academy of Family Physicians; the Georgia Osteopathic Medicine Association; and the Medical Association of Georgia. He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Family Medicine of the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Bishop has also served as Assistant Clinical Professor at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where his daughter Karly has been studying.
Dr. Craig Bishop is a Preceptor for the Physician Assistant Program of the Medical College of Georgia. He is also a Preceptor for the Physician Assistant Program at the Emory School of Medicine.
