My name is Valerie Driscoll, but everyone calls me Val. I’m a first year graduate student in the Public Relations program at Quinnipiac University. I graduated from the University of Michigan in May (2014). At Michigan I played on the Women’s Basketball team. My junior year I received a medical redshirt because I tore my ACL and missed the entire season. I’m now currently a Quinnipiac Bobcat and will play one year here. I’m originally from Stoughton Massachusetts a small town 20 minutes south of Boston, and a little over 2 hours away from QU. I love going to school closer to home. Family is a big part of my life and now I’m finally able to get home more often. I have very little experience in the PR field. I hope to continue my basketball career for is long as I can and play professional overseas. When my basketball career comes to an end I hope to remain involved in college athletics whether that be coaching, recruiting, sports development, or media and marketing.
