Right after college, while working in arts administration, I took a job as the fund-raiser for a small organization. I quickly realized that they didn't need a full time person: they needed a database application to generate their annual campaign, and a seasonal, part-time person to run it. So I ordered a PC, learned Microsoft Access, and built an application to do just that. Having automated my job for the first--but not last--time, I started looking for a new job in tech. I was hooked.

Most people aren't looking for the fanciest new gadget. Most people want technology make their lives easier. I use technology to automate or simplify the mundane, the repetitive, and the error-prone. I love giving people tools that free them to use their creativity and intelligence.
