Valerie Harbig

While acrylic paint on canvas is her weapon of choice, Valerie works in a variety of media:

• large scale screen printing
• custom illustrations

Valerie is currently the exclusive illustrator for SmartBrideBoutique.com. Over the years she has added colourful life to the Phoenix Concert Theatre and Putting Edge and displayed her work at the popular HoSu Bistro on Queen Street, the Drake Hotel, Mad Gypsy Vintage Clothing among other shows and exhibitions. Her work was also featured in a 2004 indie film "Eating the Bones". Valerie is currently developing illustrations and branding for a national wesite and blog.

Valerie was awarded honourable mention in the People Choice category for her painting 'Captain Valentine' at the 2012 Square One Fundraiser and Exibition at the Art Gallery of St. Albert. Most recently Valerie was a nominee for the Emerging Artist Award at the Mayor's celebration of the Arts as well as battling the clock in the first ever Art Slam at the Mayor's Gala.
