Valerie Reglat
As Financial Examiner and Analyst Supervisor in the Florida Department of Financial Services, Valerie Reglat brings nearly two decades of relevant experience to her work, along with an outstanding history of professional accomplishment. Based in the Office of Insurance Regulation, and specifically the area of Life & Health Financial Oversight, since 2003, Ms. Reglat currently oversees a staff of 10 financial professionals as they audit and analyze the financial status of insurers statewide. In addition, Ms. Reglat helps to revise current Florida statutes and regulations, provides information to the general public, and creates letter agreements and legal orders in the course of her duties as Financial Examiner and Analyst Supervisor. Promoted to her current role in 2008, Ms. Reglat previously spent periods as a Financial Examiner and Analyst II and an Insurance Examiner II in the Department. In tandem with the latter position, Valerie Reglat completed business-related coursework at Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College. Prior to Life & Health Financial Oversight, Ms. Reglat performed as an Actuary Technician in the Office of Insurance Regulation, served as a Regulatory Consultant in the Division of Agency and Agent Services, and spent nearly five years with Fidelity Security Life Insurance Company in Kansas City, Missouri, working as an Actuarial Technician and Contract Analyst. Other roles held by Ms. Reglat include Insurance Specialist II and Workers’ Compensation Examiner in the Florida Department of Financial Services. The recipient of several professional designations, Ms. Reglat was most recently certified as a Professional in Insurance Regulation (PIR) by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners and as a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) from the Life Office Management Association. Educated at Michael de Montaigne University, Florida State University, and Fort Hays State University, Valerie Reglat holds a B.A. in Psychology from the latter institution.
