Valerie Simms recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston- Downtown in Applied Administration, receiving a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science. Valerie has an unique ability to transition dreams into reality. She is passionate about effectively moving projects from creation to completion, while highlighting her organizational skills of efficiency and effectiveness, especially in time management. Those around her have known her as a highly motivated and innovative worker, which alludes to her success as a full time student and employee.

Prior to attending UHD Valerie worked two years full time as an executive assistant in commercial real estate gaining experience in office management and corporate meetings and events. Her non-profit experience comes from two years at Burchfield Ministries International as manager and an executive assistant, managing over 60 events. In October 2015 Valerie planned her first and very successful gala of 200 attendees raising over $40,000 at The Junior League of Houston.

After graduation, Valerie took the remainder of 2016 to travel and explore the US markets. Her goal is to be fully devoted to a new career in 2017.
