5-time Billboard Magazine Award winner Valerie Smaldone is a sought after emcee, voice over artist and celebrity interviewer. She can be seen on PBS as an on-camera host, heard on her syndicated radio show, “America Weekend,” and on “Valerie’s New Jersey” a podcast she hosts and produces for the Fox TV station MY9NJ, as well as an imaging voice on 1010WINS. She hosts a podcast for Simon and Schuster titled “Read Before Eating” airing on the CBS platform Play.It.

Valerie produces podcasts for companies, brands and experts, creating compelling content for her clients, while building a social media following and dedicated fan base. She coaches management and individuals in the corporate arena in their presentational skills using performance techniques. Calling on her vast media background, she is also a media coach and consultant.

As an adjunct instructor at School of Visual Arts, Valerie teaches a popular course in voice-over, directs students in an intensive voice over boot camp, and conducts a class in the art of the interview.

A well known voice-over artist, Valerie can be heard narrating the show “Fatal Encounters” on Investigation Discovery Channel. She has recorded commercials for clients like Victoria’s Secret, Publix Supermarkets, and Minute Maid, and television promos for NBC Dateline, NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, The CBS Morning Show, Lifetime, Cinemax, Oxygen and many others. Valerie was the announcer for The Boomer Esiason Show on MSG for 4 seasons.

Most recently, she has appeared on television as a reporter on ABC and NBC for the Columbus Day Parade. Her episodic television acting stints include a featured role on Blue Bloods on CBS and The Following on Fox. As a stage actress, Valerie starred in comedies “The Guido Monologues,” and “What Are Ya Nuts?” Other notable roles include Kara Angelo, a character she created in the play she co-wrote, entitled “Spit it Out!” She has performed in several acclaimed Off-Broadway plays: “Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell” at the Minetta Lane Theatre, “Naked in a Fishbowl” at the Soho Playhouse, “Broadway’s Next Hit Musical” at The Triad, and “Girl Talk:The Musical” at the Midtown Theatre.

Valerie hosts and produces a “Legends of Music” series at 92Y, interviewing music celebrities in front of a live audience and also conducts interviews with authors on various topics.
