I moved from my native country of Romania to Florida on my own in search for a better life and opportunities. As the first in my family to go to college and earn a doctor of education degree, which according to statistics, I wasn’t supposed to make it to the top considering that my parents were not college educated. However, I didn’t let that stop me from pursuing my dreams. Therefore, with careful planning, determination, persistence and hard work I not only completed each degree but did so in less than the time considered a full time student. This is to say that if I could do it, anyone can do it. Developing theright mindset and attitude anything is possible.

In fact, I was so committed to further understand and help institutions and students succeed that my own doctoral dissertation is about the relationship between diverse variables and timely college graduation. I was intrigued and concerned with the low student retention rate and the time it takes to graduate and wanted to participate in finding a solution for it.

I teach various college sociology and education leadership courses, consult students and help them achieve academic and personal success. Likewise, I develop and present workshops on teacher training, student success, motivation, self empowerment and growth mindset. I also write articles of interest, develop online courses and am about to publish a book called "How To Become a Straight A Student" which will accompany an online course with the same name.

I am passionate about helping and empowering students, teachers and people everywhere achieve success and find their passion and live a purpose-driven life.
