Essentially, what I do is take a three dimensional slice of life compress it into a two dimensional square and try do add as much depth as possible. On a film set, I do it with lighting and composition. In Haiti, I try to expand the boundaries of “missions” to let the lives of Haitian people speak through the noise to touch the lives of American people.
