Career BIO:

Sophia's interests range from entrepreneurship to web development, and she's also passionate about leisure travel, and photography. She's blessed with a wealth of knowledge as a certified admin pro, legal assistant, and office manager and is very adaptable.

As for her work experience, hereafter the most noteworthy aspects of he career in her own words:

In the 1990's was my term of service to the local government of Sint Maarten in the capacity of Secretary to the then Commissioner of Economic affairs, Tourism, and Telecommunications. At the end of that term I served as Office Manager to the Referendum Committee, which awarded me the pleasure to work very closely with a high ranking representative of the UN.

Subsequently in the late 1990s, I was hired to join an extremely effective and highly skilled team of professionals to launch "Sint Maarten International Telecommunications Services (SMITCOMS)". As a team, we were responsible to comply with (inter)national telecom compliance protocols, subscriptions, registrations & other requirements to ensure the launch and in the process proudly marked history with the landing of Fiber Optics in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten.

At the end of my tenure at SMITCOMS in the year 2000 I immigrated to The Netherlands to "achieve my dream": -proof myself abroad as a professional. By the grace of God, I achieved said goal in service of one of the largest entities in The Netherlands, namely: Ballast Nedam (BN) where I served in the post of Legal Secretary assisting their team, which consisted of 4 attorneys that were specialized in "construction law" and served as advisory to the BN (inter)national entity.

My last employment was as Chief Executive Assistant to the President/CEO as well as the MD of the "Maho Group", an affluent entity headquartered on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten that has earned worldwide acclaim for the design, development, marketing, and management of its collection as the destination's leading leisure, real estate, gaming and resort company. I served in that capacity for 8 years.
