Vanessa McHardy
London, United Kingdom.
Vanessa has been working in inner city London primary schools for over ten years and has developed a practice that is whole school based; supporting staff, parents and children. She works with groups, individuals and multi agency organisations.
Vanessa is committed to facilitating meaningful change in schools to aid them to bring about a foundation where all children and adults matter and are met for being who they are not what they do.
Within the current targets and results driven UK education culture Vanessa has seen too many young children giving up on themselves and their education as a result of erroneous beliefs that they are stupid if they don’t understand something. This has inspired Vanessa to launch a programme titled ‘What happens at the moment of not understanding’. This lesson plan is for children to understand how they learn but most importantly to take responsibility for their behaviour patterns when they don’t understand something.
