I have worked with children and young people since 1999, as a formal and informal educator: as a primary school teacher, environmental educator, youth worker, cycling instructor, bicycle education manager and outdoor activities worker.

I am a qualified Level 3 Forest School Practitioner, Primary School Teacher (with QTS) and also have a degree in Youth and Community Work.

I am committed to delivering a skills based, creative curriculum through creating a purposeful learning environment where children are given contexts for their learning so that they are able to see how learning is relevant to their lives. I also believe children should be given the opportunity to discover knowledge for themselves through experience, as a practical approach often enables children to combat misconceptions and cement knowledge.

I enjoy working outdoors, giving children an opportunity to connect with nature and themselves
