Vanessa Ellington

My life is like so many others. I have had good times, great times, and times that I would love to forget. I have made mistakes and celebrated succeess. I have loved and lost and then loved deeper than I ever felt possible. The minute my son was born was the singular best thing that has ever happend to me. I can not imagine my life without him. I would not have him if any event on my life had gone differently. All of the good and the bad have resulted in a precious and amazing force of nature that is my child.

I love my job, I believe in my career. I believe in the children that I teach and I have been fortunate to remain part of some of their lives for years. I have watched them grow and mature and develop into amzing people. I am proud of what I do and I know in my heart that every child I have taught has left with a piece of me.

I am blessed. My blessing is that I know what I have. I know what matters and I do not take a second for granted. I know that in a moment, it can all be taken away, so I enjoy every day. I am blessed to have people in my life who know me and still love me. I am blessed to be a mother, a wife, a daugher, a sister, an aunt, and a teacher. I am all of those things. They do not define me, they ARE me.
