Vanessa de Beaumont

Vanessa de Beaumont is currently a sophomore studying broadcast journalism and advertising at Boston University. A copywriter for the BU AdClub and co-host for WTBU's JVC Sports Block, a two-hour radio program, she stays heavily involved in school-affiliated activities with real world application. Now a staff writer forProFootballSpot.com, Vanessa is relishing the opportunity to report on her hometown Houston Texans. Also a psychology minor, she finds it not only enjoyable but necessary in her fields to have a deeper understanding of people and their perceptions.

The daughter of small business owners, Vanessa has learned from a young age the importance of relating to people and the skills to do so, building upon her innately outgoing personality. Having grown up in both Montreal, Canada and Houston, Texas, she has garnered an even greater understanding of the spectrum of ideas, cultures and people that exist in society today, and she utilizes that knowledge regularly in order to target audiences and communicate more effectively.

Vanessa is a tremendously personable, knowledgeable, poised and creative person. Along with her studies, she enjoys photo and video editing as well as creative writing - all hobbies which lend her tools for use in pursuit of her professional career. Above all things, however, Vanessa is a hardworking, honest and committed young woman who firmly believes in the power of a simple smile.
