I think I have been incredibly lucky - right place, right time - I was part of the first consultancy in the UK for human factors - way before people even uttered the phrase User Experience. Many industries; many countries; different companies from start-ups & agencies to creaky corporates.

And it all terrifies me - it changes so fast, every day a new channel, a new technique. So - I go where the work takes me for the next challenge. I do the occasional conference - but there are enough people out there doing that - I prefer a big fat sticky project to bulldoze through.

If your country defines you, I am quintessentially British - although I've lived in 9 countries and 19 cities; I thrive on change; I seem to have a nomadic gene - no place too far or too foreign. And although a perpetual traveller and wannabe photographer, I shamefully admit my suitcase packing skills are ropey and I speak no additional languages.

If your family and friends define you - I am peculiar in most people eyes - not married, no kids, not even a goldfish. But to me its perfect - family and friends in every continent. It perpetuates the travel bug - where and who to see next.
