Vanessa Vovor
Strategic Advisor and Facilitator in Brussels, Belgium / Lomé, Togo
I’m Vanessa Vovor, a Strategic Advisor, Facilitator, and Speaker with over a decade of experience supporting NGOs, city networks, international organizations, and development agencies to turn complex challenges into clear, actionable strategies.
I run a portfolio consultancy at the intersection of climate action, governance, and inclusion, partnering with mission-driven organizations across Africa and Europe. My work combines policy expertise, technical knowledge, and inclusive facilitation — from leading multi-country teams at GIZ and moderating high-level dialogues for the EU, to structuring project pipelines in sustainable energy, waste management, circular economy, and gender equity.
Alongside this, I bring a strong foundation in intersectionality, participatory governance and diversity & inclusion. For over five years, I’ve also worked as a trainer and consultant helping organizations design inclusive policies, strengthen internal practices, and embed equity into their strategies. These experiences deeply inform how I convene stakeholders, moderate conversations, and ensure that ideas move from talk to traction.
I’ve lived and worked across three continents — Europe, Africa, and Asia — and hold a dual Master’s in International Relations from Université libre de Bruxelles and Tongji University (Shanghai). This global perspective adds depth to my practice, connecting different contexts while keeping equity and inclusion at the center.
Today, I split my time between Brussels and Lomé, bringing a strong Africa–Europe and diaspora perspective to my work. Beyond consulting, I serve on the Africa Strategy Committee of the King Baudouin Foundation, and I’m an emerging diaspora impact investor passionate about building sustainable futures for the continent rooted in care, dignity, and shared power.
