Vangela Crowe, the multi-talented writer, singer, songwriter, arranger, and actress is a true talent and can hang with the best of them. Her unmatched passion, love, and bond with her gifts pierce the hearts and souls of everyone who witnesses her performances and work.

As a singer and performer, Vangela has shared the stage with Patti LaBelle, Damion Hall, Groove Theory, The Delfonics, Ray, Goodman & Brown, Wyclef Jean, and a host of others. She has also stayed true to her gospel roots and performed with gospel greats including Rev. Milton Biggham, Rev. Rance Allen, the Late Timothy Wright, and the Late Rev. James Moore. She has recently added Soulful House Music to her genre. This style has afforded her the opportunity to share her gifts abroad in Spain, Canada, London, and Scotland.

Although Vangela comes from an extremely talented family, (her brother being a producer and bass player; and both parents being musicians) she admits that she is heavily influenced by Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill, and Michael Jackson. She also takes pride in being raised in Newark, New Jersey. She believes that the joy and pain of urban life enhance her writing, singing and performance; that it gives her a far deeper connection to the people. She loves it and the people who dwell therein.

Vangela is also a screenwriter and playwright. She has written musicals for world-renown tap dancing phenom, Savion Glover. Her work includes “Savion Glover Brings Time Back at NJ PAC,” and “A Coltrane Story”- both performed at NJ Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ. She is also constantly working on various projects- movies, television series, sit-coms- and musicals. As an actress, she is working on the big screen with director/actor James Lyones, called "Arson" starring Michael Wright.
