I'm a researcher and professor with a computer science & engineering background (and a long-time interest in linguistics, grammar, and learning new languages). I'm passionate about teaching, and I've been lucky to teach some of my favorite topics, ranging from natural language processing to multimedia & web technologies.

In the past few years, I've grown to see computers less as a replacement for human beings and more as an additional support for everyone, especially for those with needs that are not yet accounted in the way they should. Therefore, my research interests fall in the application of computer engineering and artificial intelligence knowledge to support fields such as education, linguistics, and accessibility.
