Varaxy is a PhD Candidate at the University of Denver. She is interested in research areas involving marginalized communities and their educational attainment, aspirations, and experiences. Specifically, she is interested in the experiences of Southeast Asian students as they navigate the post-secondary education system. She is currently exploring the experiences of these students in navigating campus culture. In addition, she is interested in further examining the graduate student experience as students navigate the complexities of academic, personal, and professional life.

Varaxy also possesses a myriad of experience in many different fields. She received her Master's in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and dedicated two years to working in an academic library setting to assist students with their information needs. She has extensive research capabilities and experience with advancing the information literacy skills of students. In addition, Varaxy also has experience in accounting and Quickbooks, having spent over three years handling the books for a small accounting company.

Varaxy has shown a dedication to learning and growth, evident in her consistent passion for education and mastering new skills and topics. She hopes to bring this level of passion and commitment to her future role as a researcher and educator.
