Bettina Varga
My name is Bettina Varga and I was born in 1988 in Budapest, Hungary. I finished primary school with arts specialization, while I met the world of competitive dancing at the age of 7. In 2003 I became Budapest Champion in ballroom dancing with my partner and I was in finals in Latin-American dancing as well. Singing was also part of my life and I was competing alone and in a choir in Hungary and in Serbia. I graduated from my primary school with straight As and I earned the Mihály Munkácsy Award, which is given to the best student at 8th grade.
After finishing my primary school I decided to start the Janos Xantus Tourism Vocational School, where I was studying hotel management, marketing, tourist guiding in English besides the general subjects. In 2006 I won a scholarship of the Leonardo Program and I got the chance to spend a summer practise in Stockholm, Sweden in the Scandik Alvik hotel, which was inspiring me to study further in English and I wanted to continue my studies on abroad. I also won the scholarship of the school and graduated my vocational school with As, while I earned an English advanced language exam, a German Intermediate exam and I got the tourist guiding license in both languages.
I started my bachelor studies in Budapest finally at the Oxford Brookes University - International Business School Budapest in Business Studies. In 2009 I won the ERASMUS scholarship to Cyprus and I could participate in the Cypriot education at the European University Cyprus, which was the greatest experience of my life, so I decided to stay for the 2nd semester as well.
Following that amazing year, I won again the ERASMUS scholarship, but that time for my practical 3rd year, so I got the chance to become an intern at the W Hotel Barcelona in the financial department. After these 7 months I decided to move further to the world of marketing and I got accepted to the Production Media Networks company at the Barcelona World Trade Center. After a month I became the Product Manager of the new project called Eventparadise.com.
After spending one year in Spain I decided to study Spanish and I completed the Spanish Intermediate exam besides my final year studies, where my specialization was Marketing. I graduated in July 2012 from my college with three FIRST class degrees: Hungarian, Oxford Brookes and the Marketing Communications diploma from the International Advertising Association, New York.
