About Varsha Prakash:

In 2010, I graduated at U of T with an undergraduate in Digital Enterprise Management. From that degree I learnt graphic and website design software, information system design, communication software and a lot about managing people and resources.

I never would have imagined that my personal and academic interests would lead me towards a career in librarianship, but here I am. In June 2012, I will be graduating with a Master of Information, specializing in Library and Information Science.

According to quite a few personality tests, I am a Guardian. I deeply care for the people I am surrounded with, do my best to help them in any way I can and have a knack for taking on "thankless tasks that no one else wants to do".

Oddly, it's quite accurate.

I love to organize and categorize things to facilitate efficient retrieval processes. A few months ago I reorganized the linen closet by size and density; if that's not a thankless task, I don't know what is.

I love all things tech; from the Adobe Creative suite to the iPad HD. But my head is not stuck in the 'internet clouds', I enjoy working with people and conducting information needs assessments in order to give them the best possible assistance.
