Varun

Varun is a finance professional based in India with an extreme love for numbers.

Professionally, he is tasked with oversight and management of the Financial Modelling and Valuations team at SG Analytics. He is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, project management, and client relationship management.

He liaisons closely with prominent IBs, PEs, VCs, Corporates, Startups, and Valuation Advisory firms among others to help them with innumerable financial assignments including advanced financial modelling, business valuations, FP&A, and Quality of Earnings, to list a few.

Formerly, he had worked with Moody's Analytics and TresVista Analytics in similar roles.

Varun has always been fond of interacting with young minds and sharing his valuable experience to guide them to acquire and ace financial skills. He also heads the Finance learning department at IIM Skills and is responsible for setting the right techniques and the best industry-relevant curriculum along with content delivery. He also delivers guest sessions at various educational institutions and corporate offices on financial modelling, financial analysis, business valuation, etc.

In his endeavour to impart financial knowledge to even the distant sections of society, Varun has authored two books titled 'Financial Modelling - Let's Start with the Basics' and 'Financial Modelling - Let's Master the Basics'.

Academically, Varun is a management graduate from the University of Delhi. To substantiate his finance credentials, he has cleared all five modules for CFP certification, has successfully earned a CFA Institute Investment Foundations certificate and is also pursuing the CFA program.

Varun is very enthusiastic about entrepreneurship. In 2016, he founded ‘NETOPP: Network of Opportunities’, a web-based platform for the latest news and events happening in major universities and college campuses across Delhi NCR. He ran the venture successfully for one year and since then has been mentoring entrepreneurs to onboard strong financial vision and unravel financial needs.

He has also been active in the field of social services since a young age. He has served as the founding President of the Rotaract Club of Young Visionaries, VP at Soul of Life NGO and Head at Dressing the Souls NGO among others.
