I was born and brought up in Delhi. Did BE (Computers) from Pune University and MBA from Leeds Metropolitan University (Now Leeds Beckett University).

I have spent a majority of my career at Cords Cable Industries Ltd. a listed mid-sized company specialising in Instrumetation and Signalling cables. Currently work as Vice President (Markrting, HR and IT). I am also among the Owner Group of the Company.

There are a few things that I am proud of achieving at Cords Cable:

• I had set up the company's Export Division with a revenue growth of almost INR 40 Cr (close to 20% of the company's total revenue) from close to nil within 3 years.
• I had set up the IT Division at Cords. I successfully initiated and implemented an effective ERP system in the organisation.
• I was also the brain behind the company's Cable Designing, Costing and Tendering Software

Having spent most of my time in B2B Marketing, International Business and in IT / technology, these are the fields of most interest to me.

Apart from the traditional B2B marketing I am also very active with Digital Marketing and Blogging. VarunSawhney.Today is my personal blog.

Currently I am busy with preparing for two fine startup initiatives - one in the field of Digital Marketing and the other deals with Software on SaaS model for Industrial Applications.
