Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

Before I get started with the contents of my portfolio, an introduction is necessary. Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, I studied in a private school and completed my higher studies from St. Xavier's College, Ahmedabad. At a very ripe age, I took an almost instantaneous liking to Literature and Psychology—subjects which were to become the very basis of my knowledge structure over the course of later years to come. With the understanding that writing was a primary mode of expression in regards to my personality, I wrote for my school newspapers and went on to writing for my college newspaper entitled Xavier's Ahmedabad Periodical.

I continued to explore the avenues that writing flourishes well within and as a result decided to study Journalism along with Literature and Psychology. With writing, I gradually became acquainted with design and it's role in the print media. The realization that design is essential to housing good writing came as a pleasant experience while I wrote for X.A.P. Eventually, my relationship with design became more complicated and I found myself talking a language I had not learnt—the language of design.

My internship with The Times of India taught me the responsibilities which must be borne by journalists while my experience with Teach India helped me explore the state of very basic education in our country.I continued to pursue my interest in writing and presented my own work as part of my final semester (M.A) research presentation. My collection of poetry and short stories entitled 'Cotillion' received an Outstanding + grade for which I am extremely grateful. It was during my final semester (M.A. Literature), I was offered a position with the IIMA as an editorial associate of the Alumnus Magazine—my first actual job in publications. The position came as a blessing in disguise especially since it is here that I understood what designing in publications entails.

My portfolio comprises my published works in an elegant yet professional fashion. It also entails my updated Resume for further necessary information.Along with these, I have placed samples of my writing and photography.

In terms of goals and visions, I believe that visions are approximate goal points and I do not believe in setting a vision. I believe in focusing on its creation. My understanding of the idea that five years down the line, I wish to be successful is an approximation. Yet every day contributes to the image of these five
