An experienced medical professional, Dr. Varuzhan Dovlatyan graduated with a doctor of medicine from Yerevan State Medical Institute in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1974. He completed both an internship and a residency at Yerevan’s Malatya Clinical Hospital, during which time he practiced as a general surgeon. Dr. Varuzhan Dovlatyan went on to serve two years as an abdominal surgeon with the General Hospital of Leningrad in the USSR and two years as an adult and pediatric surgeon/traumatologist with Yerevan Emergency Hospital. He also treated patients at Clinical Hospital #6 and Emergency Hospital #1 in Yerevan.

Immigrating to the United States in 1982, Dr. Varuzhan Dovlatyan prepared for his US Federation Licensing Examination and his Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certificate at the Stanley H. Kaplan Educational Center in Los Angeles. After establishing himself as a US physician, he completed several years of additional clinical training and subsequently began practicing anesthesiology in New York City. Dr. Dovlatyan has served as an anesthesiologist with 44th Street Health and Wellness since 2016.
