My future is in helping companies and people learn how to use social media strategies and tools to build communities. As a social media marketing strategist, I am looking for opportunities to work with businesses that want to leverage the power and resources offered by Facebook, Twitter, blogging, YouTube, Flickr, and a host of other social media platforms. Originally from Minsk, Belarus where I was taking classes toward my bachelor degree in PR, I have moved to San Francisco 8 years ago. I have financed my education at San Francisco State University working as a waiter, bartender and restaurant manager. I hold a bachelor degree in International Relations with an emphasis on Innovative Marketing. Invaluable hospitality industry training in combination with my passion for new media, marketing research and web 2.0 helped me define my focus – social media for entertainment industry. During the last year of school and soon after graduation I was interning with some of the San Francisco’s most successful start-ups such as Medized and Fora.tv. The later was named among 50 Top websites by Time Magazine. Currently I work as a freelance social media strategist. Among my clients are Full Plate Consulting, Bay Area’s top restaurant marketing consulting agency and Online Marketing Connect, premier destination for online marketers. I hold Masters Certificate in Internet Marketing from University of San Francisco.
